Conventional uniaxial pressing is readily available for mass production. Compacting and heat treating a press-ready Somaloy® product delivers high productivity, good tolerances and a smooth finish via a cost-effective production process.
New pressing techniques with more unorthodox methods can be used when special needs apply. These must be evaluated for the specific case, as component shape and production speeds must be combined with the unique property advantages to achieve an outstanding product at an acceptable cost.
