"In the last 6-12 months there has been a change in customer behaviour", says Rachel Spieczny, lead consultant in Additive Manufacturing at Höganäs. "We are seeing customers printing parts in increasingly larger volumes and thus now requiring larger volumes of powder."
A year or two ago, price was not central to decision making for AM powders, because not much powder was being consumed.
"Today, with volume production of parts increasing, price is becoming extremely important", says Rachel. "The quality and capacity of Höganäs powders enables us to deliver high quality powders at cost effective prices, and we are well positioned to become a world leader in AM powders due to this."
