Höganäs increases focus on business areas – new head of global operations


Höganäs AB reorganises its business into three global business areas: Automotive, Industrial and Environmental. At the same time, operations is globalized and Magnus Grönborg, formerly at Lindab, is appointed Chief Operations Officer.

“The purpose of this reorganisation is to better allocate and focus our resources on our customers’ needs and to develop sustainable products and solutions for the future,” says Melker Jernberg, CEO at Höganäs AB.

The new global operations organisation will be headed up by a new position. Magnus Grönborg has been appointed Chief Operations Officer and will be a member of the Höganäs Group Management. Magnus Grönborg is currently employed as Group Operations Director for the product area Products & Solutions at Lindab. He has held different managerial positions in operations for the past 14 years.

Höganäs has appointed three Business Area Managers for Automotive.

Dean Howard, today Senior Vice President Sales at North American Höganäs, takes responsibility for Automotive Americas and thus becomes a member of the Höganäs Group Management team. Marie Samuelsson, today Vice President Commercial, will head up Automotive Europe. Fredrik Emilson, today Head of Region Asia, assumes responsibility for Automotive APAC (Asia Pacific).

Avinash Gore, today Head of Region North America, is appointed Business Area Manager for Environmental. Dean Howard assumes Avinash’s role as Managing Director of North American Höganäs.

For the business area Industrial, Höganäs has started a recruitment process. Hans Söderhjelm, Vice President R&D, takes interim responsibility for the business area.

The reorganization takes effect on 1 January, 2017. Magnus Grönborg assumes his position at Höganäs 13 February, 2017.
