Systems Application Engineer

Alvier Mechatronics is seeking a self driven, entrepreneurial and action oriented System Application Engineer who is experienced in bringing together subsystems/technologies to an optimized solution.

About the position

The Systems Application Engineer is responsible for the development of complex systems for various applications, mainly in, but not exclusive to the automotive industry. A typical system includes transmission, electronics, eMotor and cooling. The responsibility includes system and sub-system architecture from early concept to detailed component level design. The architecture is developed in close collaboration with other competencies, with the Systems Application Engineer's role ensuring an optimized solution that puts the customer front and center. Responsibilities include:

• Participates in customer application projects
• Supports Business Development team with customer communication for attracting and securing customer projects
• Defines system level requirements
• Analyzes market technology trends and their impact on Alvier Mechatronics technology development roadmap
• Continuously reviews the company strategy and goals to adapt to market trends and needs
• Drives market/customer-oriented innovation and solutions for system development
• Identifies, builds, and maintains technology partnership networks
• Maintains close interaction with Höganäs material specification as well as prototype and industrialization
• Monitors industry standards for relevant areas
• IP and patents

Your profile

The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering and a minimum of ten years of related experience in research and development technology in the automotive industry, with a minimum of five years of direct experience in system development of electric drive modules in close cooperation with OEM. The candidate must utilize critical thinking and analytical skills and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate must be able to see problems and solutions outside of their own area of expertise, and act as a team player with ability to bring people together to achieve a common goal.
