To support this ambition, we have introduced the re-portfolio providing a clearer way to communicate which of our products are developed with improved sustainability performance in mind.

Products in the re-portfolio use the ‘re-’prefix, inspired by terms like reduce, reuse and recycle. The prefix signals that the product meets at least one of our four defined sustainability principles and that improvements are supported by fact-based documentation, for example a life-cycle assessment (LCA) study or similar.

re-Astaloy®

re-Astaloy 85 Mo is the first Höganäs product to be offered as an alternative with a lower product carbon footprint (PCF) compared to a typical Astaloy 85 Mo. re-Astaloy 85 Mo has identical properties as Astaloy 85 Mo. By replacing natural gas with biogas in both energy and feedstock through a verified mass balance approach, re-Astaloy 85 Mo offers a more climate-friendly solution for demanding applications.
