Höganäs marks Pink October with preventive examination campaign
Around 90 per cent of the plant’s female co-workers took part in the outdoor event, which was held as part of the Pink October awareness initiative. Participants were offered 14 laboratory tests including the pap smear test.
“It was clever to promote this awareness activity and give us the opportunity to perform examinations right here in our workplace,” said Andressa Monteiro, accounting analyst. “These kinds of initiatives are important because it prevents employees from having to wait for medical appointments.”
For Kelly Lima from Human Resources, the high participation in the event demonstrated the care that employees have for their own health, and how much Höganäs values co-workers’ welfare.
