Re-engineering of a 6-speed manual transmission

A robust helical gear compaction solution with 17% gear weight reduction in comparison to the wrought steel gear. Our novel gear design approach shows that PM technology provides OEMs with a great cost saving opportunity: shortening of the gear manufacturing process chain and more efficient utilisation of the gear manufacturing plant.
