A flexible AM portfolio that fits most 3D printers
High usability and large selection of metal powders for your 3D printer
The laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process is commonly used in the AM community. Manufacturers developing 3D printers for this process include the German producers EOS, SLM Solutions, Concept Laser, Trumpf and DMG Mori; the American producers Velo3D and 3D Systems, as well as British Renishaw, French AddUp, Dutch Additive Industries and Aurora Labs from Australia.
Manufacturers using the direct energy deposition (DED) process in its 3D printers include Trumpf, DMG Mori and Coherent, all three from Germany; BeAM from France and Optomec from the United States.
Binder jetting is another common process when 3D printing metal parts. Here, our metal additive manufacturing powders can be used to printers from companies such as Swedish manufacturer Digital Metal and from Desktop Metal, HP, ExOne and GE Additive – all four are producers based in the United States.
The electron beam melting (EBM) technology is used in 3D printers from the following companies: Arcam (Sweden), Freemelt (Sweden) and Jeol (Japan). Finally, 3D printers using cold spray additive manufacturing include products from Australian company Titomic and German producer Impact Innovations.
To summarise, the Höganäs additive manufacturing metal powder portfolio can be used for all 3D printers manufactured by all of the companies mentioned above and for all the different processes and technologies.
