The high structural performance of Chromium pre-alloyed PM steels have opened the possibility to replace high loaded components conventionally made of wrought steel with PM. Small notch radii, wear or high bending stresses characterize these components. A systematic investigation is made on bending fatigue performance and notch sensitivity of Chromium pre-alloyed PM steel. The results are benchmarked to other PM alloying systems.
