BrazeLet® BNi4

Nickel-based brazing alloy

The nickel-based brazing alloy BrazeLet BNi4 provides high strength joints when brazing in vacuum or protective atmospheres (hydrogen or argon). As it is Cr-free it is less sensitive to marginal furnace atmospheres. The brazing alloy is typically used for brazing nickel-based superalloys and stainless steel components where high elevated temperature strength is important, such as turbine vanes and honeycomb seals. The alloy also has good oxidation resistance. Joint properties can be further improved by employing a diffusion hold after brazing.  Compared to the similar BrazeLet BNi3, BrazeLet BNi4 has better gap filling ability and provides more ductile joints.
