Uncoated soft magnetic products
High-alloyed Fe6.5Si is mainly used for soft magnetic high-frequency applications in so called dust-cores. The powder is difficult to compact and requires high pressures (1000-2000 MPa) and simple shapes. More common is use of the powder un-compacted, admixed in an insulating binder material to form a component. Excellent DC Bias performance, good temperature stability, high saturation flux density, low magnetostriction (low noise).
Phosphorus alloyed powder
PASC is ASC 100.29 alloyed with Ferro-phosphor aimed for demanding sintered soft magnetic components. Alloying increases electric resistivity, improve magnetic and machining properties. Is recommended with 0.45% or 0.8% P. MPIF FY-4500-20V/17X/17Y standards apply.
