Brazing technology for EGR coolers

Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) coolers allow OEM car manufacturers to meet emission requirements on diesel engines and improve fuel economy on gasoline engines. These parts are assembled using brazing as joining technology. Due to high corrosive nature of exhaust gas, EGR coolers should withstand corrosion and oxidation even at high temperatures.

EGR coolers brazed with Höganäs’ high-performance brazing alloys are capable of withstanding high temperatures with excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance.
