Stainless steel joint without using nickel or copper

The environmental standards applying to drinking water applications set stringent requirements on nickel and copper content, which are released into drinking water during heating.

For this reason, SWEP, a world-leading producer of heat exchangers, and Höganäs collaborated and produced a solution based on BrazeLet® F300. The solution enabled a heat exchanger consisting entirely of stainless steel joined without using any nickel or copper braze.

SWEP's new B10T brazed heat exchanger has been installed in a solar energy solution from Grundfos, which will be used by end-customer Sonnenkraft for heating water.
