Realising the vision of zero material losses
A leading car manufacturing company contacted Höganäs as they wanted to improve the production of a synchromesh clutch hub in a gearbox. The aim was to minimise material losses and post-processing while having a final product with better surface finish.
With our powder mix concept Starmix® BOOST, we helped the company to cut material losses to 0.05%. Other benefits were time savings by eliminating otherwise frequent adjustments of press settings as well as minimal weight differences between units.
